Molly and Remy, two wood slice portraits, have arrived at destination!
After a long week of travelling through the Canadian and American postal systems, Molly and Remy, two pets painted on Canadian birch slices, have arrived on time for gift giving. The client did not want a Christmas theme on either wood slice as it is expected that the ornaments will be on display all year long.
"If you're lucky, a dog will come into your life, steal your heart, and change everything." (unknown author).
Molly, a rejected Poodle.
It's hard to know who actually is luckiest - is it Molly, the Poodle or is it her owner?
This sweet little girl is 12 years old and was once in a family with children and a new baby. You know how that story usually goes. The parents were too busy with the children to pay much attention to Molly and so, they were going to give her up to a shelter.
Thankfully, the family’s landlord, and my client's friend, took Molly into her home where she is spoiled and lives a pampered life.
In the words of the client…”Molly brings great joy to my friend Maria and her family.”
Remy, full of energetic fun.
Remy is a mischievous one year old Labradoodle. She knows how to "counter surf" in order to grab whatever strikes her fancy. Consequently, she eats many things she should not.
Remy, the client’s daughter’s dog, enjoys the company of the three children in her family. She is a smart dog and the client states that Remy “has quickly become a beloved member of the family.”
"A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if you are rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?" (Marley and Me)
