Recently, I contacted Mrs. Primeau to commission a painting of my dog after having “found” her contact details at my local Pet Valu store. I was very grateful to hear that she was agreeable and available to take on this project. The discussion and exchanges throughout the process of getting this painting completed were quite reassuring.

Mrs. Primeau displayed a great capacity to listen to her client and correctly interpret what is being sought.

The end result is phenomenal!

Not only is the painting a perfect likeness of my beloved dog, but Mrs. Primeau also captured his expression. To say I am delighted is an understatement.

Je veux te donner des nouvelles de la fête de ma petite-fille, et surtout quand elle a ouvert son cadeau. Elle était tellement surprise quand elle a ouvert ce cadeau qu'elle a éclaté en sanglots. Sa mère n'a même pas été capable de prendre une photo car elle pleurait trop.

Elle l'a toujours avec elle. Je lui ai demandé si elle l'avait accrochée sur le mur et elle m'a dit pas tout de suite. Je veux l'avoir tout près de moi!

Axl’s portrait was a gift to his owners, and far exceeded my already high expectations, having viewed Louise’s previous work. Her meticulous use of colour and detail to bring out not only his appearance, but even more importantly his personality, resulted in a beautiful unique painting that was immediately considered a treasure by all of us.

She was an absolute pleasure to work with, always concerned that she was delivering exactly what was anticipated. Axl’s family is privileged to now own a Louise Primeau original work of art, and anyone who has the opportunity to join our ranks will be lucky indeed.

Très belle création d'un schapendoes. Les yeux sont merveilleux et donnent vie au chien.L'esprit de ma Phlox est présent dans cette oeuvre d'art. Tous ceux qui viennent à la maison sont fascinés par la magnifique peinture.

A well done creation of a Schapendoes. The eyes are marvelous and give life to the dog. My Phlox’s spirit is present in this work of art. Visitors in our home are fascinated by this wonderful painting.

I also purchased cards and bags from Louise with my dog printed on them: I gave some away, others I have kept. The Christmas wood slice decorations of the schapendoes are wonderful also. I keep them out year around, on the bedroom door during the year, and in the Christmas tree at Christmas time. They are a big hit.

J'ai aussi fait l'achat de cartes de souhaits et de sacs avec la peinture de mon schapendoes dessus. J'en ai donné plusieurs et en ai gardé pour moi aussi. Tous mes amies adorent. Lors de la compétition canine, les cartes ont été utilisés pour remercier les juges qui ont beaucoup apprécié le détail de la peinture. Les décorations de Noel des schapendoes sont aussi magnifiques. Je les conserve précieusement pendant toute l'année.
