Charming Cornish Rex Figaro.
Cornish Rex cat Figaro is as charming in real life as he is in his recently painted portrait. His soft, curly fur and striking eyes are only the beginning of his charm - it is his sweet nature that steals the heart of anyone who meets him.
Figaro is incredibly friendly, and like most Cornish Rex, he loves to be around humans. He is always seeking attention and affection, whether he’s curling up on a lap for a cozy nap or playfully interacting with people. He is an instant favourite with his sociable behaviour.
Figaro has a way of brightening any room with his gentle purrs, his playfulness, and his warm presence.
Two Cornish Rex are inseparable.
In 2023, I painted this couple of Cornish Rex cats. Like Figaro, they are painted on 9 x 12 watercolour paper. Back then, I was intrigued to find out about this unusual breed. I added information regarding Cornish Rex cats and specifically about Gary and Stella here.
Recently, I was sent several new photos of this lovable pair. They are so expressive and even more importantly, attached to each other. They seem to just naturally strike a pose cuddled up together. I will most likely paint them again in the future.
Not a cat I would choose as a pet, but from your description they seem to definitely be a person cat, unlike others. Your painting of those two is so cute.
Rosie would not be happy to share my lap with one of these cats, but I do enjoy painting them! Thanks Sally.
Thank you very much dear Louise for sharing of your beautiful paintings of cats. Everyone of them I like. Every cat has a special character though every cat is lovable!!!
We haven’t had cats in the house for decades but friends who do have them tell us all their little habits. Much like my Rosie, as you say, they do have their little personalities and are good company for their owners. Cornish Rex are especially loving I think. They behave much like dogs apparently. Thanks for stopping by Birgit.
