“I want to remove my hat, close my eyes, and feel the sun, warm and intermittent, on my face.” ~ William Collins.

sun hat in watercolour journal - watercolour and ink

Tilley hat (made in Canada) painted last year before our trip to Havana, Cuba.  Watercolour and ink in my journal.

Intermittent is the key word this year as the sun teases us with its presence for a few days. It then disappears while the dark clouds move in, and we are drenched with rain for days on end.

This sunhat will stay in the closet until next year.  My skin craves the warmth of the summer sun, as brief as those bright days might be.
