Fields of tulips are inspiring to me.
Last year I visited a local farm on Mother's Day. Of course I took many photos and they have continued to inspire me in my floral paintings.
I painted this soft tulip in pastel pinks and yellows and then played with different apps until I like the look.
Below are photos from the farm where I picked a dozen tulips last year. This year the farm is closed because a virus has ruined the crop.

Three new studies with some artistic licence.
Remembering the fields of tulips I saw last year, I painted these three landscapes adding mountains in the background.
More tulips on the way...
I continue to experiment with different techniques for painting tulips. Even though they are not my favourite flower, I am compelled to keep trying to find a favourite way to render them on paper or on canvas.
What a pity about the tulip farm, great photos and great art. Hope you had a happy day for your Birthday. Sorry I missed it this year ????????
Thanks Sally.
What a shame the tulips have a virus this year. The ones you painted have turned out well, even if they are not your favourite flower.
All part of experiments that stave off boredom. Thanks Vivienne.
