Bilingual Workshops
If you live in the Ottawa-Orleans area, I will be offering bilingual workshops in my own home.
First workshop: Movement, texture and colours./ Mouvements, textures, et couleurs.
You too can create your very own dramatic art to freshen your walls this spring. This differs from a "Paint Nite" class where you have the same subject as everyone else in the room.
If you love bursts of bright colour with added pizzazz of texture and unique elements like crystals, or shells, or glass, or other awesome materials, this is for you!
You decide whether you will paint in a totally abstract fashion or if you prefer a somewhat more realistic approach. I will guide you along the way.
My workshops are limited to a maximum of 4 students.
Why? Because I believe that art workshops with too many students result in less individual attention when you need it. And THAT, slows you down and can be frustrating.
Next available dates: Please contact me for availability.
BOOK HERE if you are interested. Payments by etransfer please or cash payable during the first workshop.
I will supply the materials. The workshop will take place over three sessions but it is possible to combine session 2 and 3 into one session by drying the paint more quickly with a heat gun. Time is somewhat flexible...I am retired!
Session 1:
Playing with texture and design. Applying texture to a 9 x 12 canvas. (approx. 2 hours)
Session 2:
Adding layers of paint.(approx. 2 hours)
Session 3:
More painting, varnishing, and finishing touches such as adding crystals, or glass beads, or gold leafing.(approx.1.5 hours)
Cost: $75.00
All supplies included. Bring a smile, bring a few friends! Don't forget an apron and two small, old towels.
No two works of art will be the same.
Sign up to my newsletter to receive notifications of future workshops and discounts. I will also post new workshops on this page. Thank you!

Hello, I was wondering if you would be running workshops on portraits any time soon
Hi Renia: For the time being, I am not planning any portrait workshops. I am always open to suggestions though. If there was an interest in portraits by a few people, say, 3-4 people, then I could certainly prepare material.
However, portraits are more difficult and require a series of lessons to build up on previous techniques. What kind of portraits would you be interested in? A more abstract or whimsical portrait such as from a line drawing would be feasible in one workshop. Let me know what your expectations might be. I could develop something. Do subscribe to my newsletter as I usually make announcements there first. Cheers and thanks for contacting me!
