Azara is one cool cat!

Azara’s owner found me in a local Facebook group before Christmas. She had a very special request: to paint her two cats so that they could be printed on pillows before Valentine’s Day. (This post was previously published in February, 2019).

She had several very good photos of her other cat, Cheddar, but Azara had always been a bit camera shy. Eventually, I was sent suitable photos and the work started in mid-January.  All photos below were taken by Azara's owner.

Azara was adopted five years ago from the Humane Society at one-and-a-half years old.

Like most cats, Azara spends her days sleeping. She is particularly fond of cardboard boxes and they are her favourite beds.

Cat in a suit - a special request.

For Azara’s portrait, I dressed her in a suit as the client requested. I chose one of the portraits that would give a sense of her shyness. Certainly, she is too cool to look directly at the viewer.
