Unique Christmas gift on its way home.
Riley is ready to be wrapped and placed under the Christmas tree this December. A one-of-a-kind gift, Riley is painted on a gallery wrapped 10 x 10 canvas. He is one of two portraits commissioned by the same client for Christmas giving.
Riley’s Background.
A Beagle and German Shepherd mix, Riley was born on November 12, 2018. Sadly, he was on a kill list in Kentucky, USA. He was noticed by a Gatineau, Quebec SPCA and his life was spared.
Riley's journey north began in August 2019. Eventually, he arrived in the Canadian National Capital region where he was adopted by a loving young woman. Look at that face! How can you not fall in love with this awesome boy?
Riley quickly adapted to his Canadian home and is happy to doze in front of the fireplace on cold wintry days. When he wants attention, his favourite toy by far is a rubber chicken with an annoying squeak which he knows will incite his humans to play with him.
Unique pet portrait gifts of Christmas past.
My portfolio includes many portraits painted on canvas or on Canadian sourced birch slices. I love capturing the look and personality of each pet from photos I am sent by my clients from all over North America. These are treasured little one-of-a-kind gifts. Several clients display their wood slice portraits all year long. That makes me very happy!
Although I am fully booked in the weeks leading up to Christmas, I paint portraits all year. However, I accept a limited number of commissions.
Contact me here to reserve your spot so that I might paint a special pet for a special occasion or as a memorial keepsake.
What a wonderful collection Louise, you certainly have made many people extremely happy with your talent of painting their pets. 🥰
Thanks Sally.
